Much of the land along Snake Road is open pastureland. This is a side of South Florida that tourists, even many residents, don't ever see. No beaches, no condo canyons, no strip malls, no office building, no glitz, no glam. Just some cattle grazing in the background undisturbed as if they were a thousand miles away from the rest of us. Old Florida, not unlike it was 100 years ago. Keep an eye out for birds in the brush near the road.
