Meteorologically speaking, there are two season in South Florida, the dry season during the cooler months and the wet season in summer and fall. The landscape at Everglades National Park can change significantly depending on the time of the year. We took the photo above at the end of April, the height of the dry season. We shot the photo below, same area but from a slightly different angle, nearly a month later after the first rumblings of the storms that will become a regular occurance during the next six months. Now imagine how this place will change after months of summer storms, only to revert back to this parched look come the following April. It's the circle of life Everglades style.
