No, not that Loxahatchee, the federally designated Wild and Scenic River. This is the Southwest Fork of the Loxahatchee River only a few hundred yards, if that, from where the C-18 canal ends and feeds its waters into it. We're guessing the river didn't look quite this pristine a couple of decades ago when Limestone Creek Natural Area was conceived. The construction of the C-18 greatly altered the hydrology, or natural water flow, of Northern Palm Beach County and killed off Limestone Creek in the process.
