Cabbage Palms Amid a Cypress Swamp

Daggerwing Nature Center is an extremely wet place, canopied by cypress trees, pond apples, red maples and Florida's state tree, the cabbage palm. Much of the floor is dark, hidden in shadows, but here light shines through this grove of cabbage palms and caught our eye.
