If a single photo could capture the essence of J.W. Corbett Wildlife Management Area, it would be this. Corbett is a very wet place even in the driest of the dry season. Open water, endless acres of marsh and beyond that pine flatwoods. Nearly 85 percent of Corbett's land is wet a significant portion of the year. Combined with two neighboring preserves, it forms "one of the largest remaining transition zones between the pine flatwoods of the interior and the sawgrss marshes of the Everglades."
