The sloughs, cypress ponds and swamps, the channels of Riverbend County Park are the upper reaches of the federally designated Wild and Scenic Loxahatchee River. The Northwest Fork of the Loxahatchee begins in Riverbend Park, and is its heart and soul. It's what makes the place special. Kayakers and canoeists can, and often do, paddle their way down stream into nearby Jonathan Dickinson State Park and the main channel of the amazing Loxahatchee. Riverbend offers five miles of kayak/canoe trails within its confines. Bring your own craft or rent one at the vendor operating within the park. Tours are also available. Onward to our next stop.
